CONCERT MEMORIES:
*Note: if you were there and would like to share your memories, pictures or tape please send it info@rirocks.net
The seats we had on July 1st were 2nd row in the arena - stage left. I avoided
floor seats in case of trouble. At that time Brown usually had a dozen or so
people toward the front of the stage so they would lead a charge forward when he
did his signature "please, please, please" at the end of the show. This exciting
"spontaneous" expression of appreciation was just short of an uncontrollable
situation. He dropped that part of the show's script when it did in fact result
in crowd control problems.
I attended the concert (which had the same opening acts you list) with my high
school sweetheart - she was 14 and I was 15. We dated through college, meandered
through life as friends, and got married two years ago.
