Arrived at Caravan of Dreams located at 405 East 6th St at 1st Ave in NYC and wasn't sure if I was in the right place. I guess I was looking for a regular music venue and not a restaurant. I thought this is interesting and intimate.
Saw my friend Jay and said hello to Kevin Ayers. As I came to find out Kevin's old band mate from Soft Machine Daevid Allen was the main performer that night and I guess what better venue for two Canterbury musicians to play in but Caravan of Dreams. Kevin did a 10 song set and it was well received. This time he was accompanied by a fellow musician from Majorca named Michael Shafans (?) The set was short but sweet in my opinion but I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Kevin again. After his performance we talked a bit and it was great to see him back in NYC.
