Rolling Stones 1978 tour was a great summer.  My girlfriend Michelle at the time and I decided to go see them in Philadelphia at JFK Stadium.  We didn't have tickets but we knew since they were playing a football stadium that tickets would be available.  We decided to hitchhike from Providence which must have taken around 6 hours but we managed to get there the day before.

We went to the stadium and spent the night with a lot of people outside.  We bought some tickets fairly cheap $12.00 and when the doors open we all ran inside to get a good position in the front.  You have to be young to stand in a stadium that size with 90,000 people behind you and on the sides. Luckily it wasn't that bad of a crush until the band came on but over-all it was bearable.  The Stones were really good and they concentrated on material from the new album "Some Girls" we had a blast and after the show was over we hitchhiked our way back home.   - Paul Fernandes
