My girlfriend Michelle at the time and I we sitting around still buzzing from seeing the Rolling Stones a few weeks back in Philadelphia. We both wanted to see them again and the next show was in Buffalo, NY on July 4th. We were young, she was 19 and I was 20, so we decided to hitchhike our way up to Buffalo, NY and it was a least an 8 hour ride with various people.
We didn't have tickets but we knew since they were playing a football stadium that tickets would be available. Again, we went to the stadium and spent the night with a lot of people outside. We bought some tickets fairly cheap $12.00 and when the doors open we all ran inside to get a good seat on the side this time. Again, the Stones were really good and they concentrated on material from the new album "Some Girls" we had a blast. After the show were were all pumped up and we looked at each other and said....now what? Michelle said, "well I have relatives in Toronto so lets go there." I said "let's do it!" We hitchhiked to Niagara Falls and that was great and then we hitchhiked to Toronto and spent a few days there visiting Michelle's relatives. It was a great summer of 78' and the memories will live forever! - Paul Fernandes
